Georgetown Boots
11″ x 14″ Acrylic on Canvas
Three pairs of cowboy boots placed side by side. The pair on the left is deep maroon with intricate lighter patterns along the shaft and a striking yellow lining. The middle pair has a bright blue shaft with white swirling designs and a reddish-brown foot. The pair on the right features a green shaft with yellow and brown accents and a similarly brown foot. The boots are depicted with bold, expressive brushstrokes, giving the piece a lively and textured appearance. The background consists of earthy tones in a loose, abstract manner, which complements the vivid colors of the boots and adds warmth to the composition.
Why Georgetown? My cousin and I went junking in Georgetown and I photographed almost every used pair of boots on the square. These were some of what I shot.
